Description

Early 19th century with mid 19th century alterations. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay, L-plan, classically-detailed house with stone porch. Squared and coursed rubble with dressed ashlar quoins and painted margins.

NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: window in flat-roofed porch with blocking course and panelled timber door on return to left to centre bay at ground, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to 1st floor. Slightly recessed single storey bay to outer left with dormerheaded window to right and set-back timber openings to left.

NW ELEVATION: gabled bay to left of centre with window to right at 1st floor, later full-height canted bay to right with tripartite window to each floor.

SW ELEVATION: broad gabled elevation with tiny window to right at ground and further window above.

SE ELEVATION: dominant gabled bay to right with tiny attic window, small window close to ground on return to left and satellite dish to recessed bay.

12-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with thackstanes and polygonal cans. Ashlar-coped skews.

INTERIOR: part-glazed interior door, plain cornices, architraved doors, timber fireplaces and dog-leg staircase with decorative cast-iron balusters.

ANCILLARY BUILDING: single storey, slated rubble ancillary building with casement window.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATES: coped rubble boundary walls with decorative ironwork gates.
